Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani Review, Movie Review of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani

Unlike his other films (except Andaz Apna Apna), Rajkumar Santoshi has gone different way to a romantic comedy with Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. And like we did with Andaz Apna Apna, the same thing we have to do with APKGK that is to enjoy without using your brain. APKGK bit like Andaz Apna Apna.

So let' s start with its pros and cons. Rajkumar Santoshi has tried best to make you laugh. All his attempts are turn out as winner, as the film is full entertainment. Comic timing of Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif is best. They make an electrifying pair. Romantic scenes in the film are simply endearing. It' s a complete date movie and you will love the antics played by Ranbir.

However on the flop side of the film, you will find that the story is predictable. Considering the film name Ghajab Kahani, it' s not actually that very different we should expect from it. Rather it is predictable and ordinary. Also it is based on absurdity, but it' s funny if you don' t use your brain at all.

Prem (Ranbir Kapoor) is a simple guy, whose life is about being happy and make others happy? Jenny (Katrina Kaif) has a family where her parents are indifferent and uncaring to her. However the sequences of mistaken identity make Prem to kidnap Jenny. Prem starts loving Jenny, but there is a triangle as Jenny loves Upen Patel, who is son of a politician (Govind Namdeo). However, Prem decides to sacrifice his love and make the love birds get married.

The first half of the film simply makes you fall off your seats. It has very funny and memorable scenes and with this Santoshi proved that he can make comedies. However the second hour loses the continuity of fun. Upen' s character is not convincing and also Govind Namdeo plus the villain' s (Zakir Hussain) track is achy. The second hour makes you feel that some scenes are chopped down to short down the length of the film- Especially the quick kidnap of Katrina. Though it also holds memorable scenes like the one where Ranbir wears Katrina' s dress and another one where Katz mistakenly beats Ranbir twice in a fight.

Santoshi proved his detractors wrong and come out as winner with a different genre. Pritam' s music is also positive side of the film. Cinematography by S. Thiru is top notch.

Ranbir stand out as a good performer with the film. After APKGK he doesn' t have any stopping for sure. Without making faces he can make you smile, especially when many say that making people laugh is a serious job. Katrina too surprises you in the film. Last she surprised you in New York. She enacted the light as well as emotional scenes beautifully. And let us announce that Ranbir-Katrina makes a rocking couple on-screen.

Conclusively, the film is a complete entertainer. The enthralling chemistry between Ranbir and Katrina and hit music by Pritam makes the film appealing. The film sure going to make smile to audience as well as the filmmaker.
