Chase Review

Last Friday, director Jagmohan Mundra gave us APARTMENT. This Friday he has come up with another thriller CHASE. This is unusual for any director as releasing films on consecutive Fridays is not a common thing. Is the director productive or is he in hurry? Well it' s all good if the end product is good, but unfortunately both of his released films are not so good. Even though Chase is categorized in a thriller genre, it holds little thrill quotient. In addition to this is the weak story and bad performances by its lead actors - Anuj Saxena and Udita Goswami.

The film is a chase of Anuj, an alleged terrorist with cops Rajesh Khattar and Samir Kochhar. The chase ends up in a coma for him. He is then put in ICU under supervision of nurse, Udita Goswami, who thinks that he is pretending to be in coma. She applies a therapy in which she tries to seduce him to know the truth. With her therapy and some shocks our hero gets out of the coma and again begins the action sequence flaunting his biceps in a Dhoom style. So, it is nothing new. Moreover, he forgets his dead girlfriend with the sizzling support from nurse Udita.

An unconvincing script is the main drawback of the film, followed by bad performances by Anuj and Udita. They didn' t seem dedicated to their part. Also the storyline doesn' t seem focused as it keeps changing from terrorism, corruption to romance. Or we can say it is not bind well. Even the bad stories work out little bit if you have good or established stars in the film. But seems like director Jagmohan Mundra has made the film with cheap rates and in cheap quality. This is why the Indian film industry delivers hundreds of movies every year but has a low hit ratio.

Conclusively, there is nothing to chase in CHASE.
